Missing Elderly
Calistoga, Napa County
On 2/6, Napa SAR responded to
a call to search for a missing elderly subject who had
wandered away from his neighborhood. SAR response was
cancelled enroute after subject was located by deputies.

CARDA Regional Training
Briones Reservior, Contra Costa County
On 2/9, Napa SAR team members
particapted in the CARDA regional training exercise
in CoCo county. SAR teams took training in crime scene
preservation and wilderness survival. New repeater systems
were tested.

Hiker Rescue
Knoxville, Napa County
On 4/3, Napa SAR responded to
a call to locate and rescue a hiker who was lost but
was able to contact the Sheriff's Office via cell phone.
Hiker was able to seek shelter for the evening. SAR
responded with ATV and foot teams to an approximate
GPS location based on information provided by hiker.
Teams finally located the subject at dawn. Henry1 was
called in to evacuate the hiker.
