Join Napa County Search and Rescue

If you have experience in search and rescue, wilderness first aid, or tracking, and would like more information on how to qualify for the team, please contact Sgt Leroy Anderson at the Napa County Sheriff's Office, (707) 253-4509. You will be provided with additional information about SAR Unit meetings and where to attend.

All candidates to be considered for membership must be physically fit, able to perform search and rescue functions under physically demanding and hazardous conditions, and be able to professionally represent Napa County Search and Rescue.

Candidates must pass oral interview, background check, and physical fitness evaluation before joining the team. All new candidates will undergo a probationary period before being given full member status. Full members must continue to meet physical, duty and professional standards to remain on the team.

After being contacted by Napa County Search and Rescue, new candidates are requested to complete the following application, at-will, and new member info forms. Please bring them when attending your first SAR meeting.

Napa Search and Rescue attends events such as the 4th of July Celebration in American Canyon to recruit new members.
